What if there's a new policy on the rookie contracts? Will that effect the present rookie contracts I wonder? If the contracts are extended for say, another two years, then the Celtics have time to decide about Walker. He would have to play for the same salary this year, right? Are we at all sure there really is a feud between he and Pitino? What we've read about their problem doesn't seem all that serious. I'd like to believe Antoine will have his act together and quit all the grandstanding. I can live with the wiggle, but the arguing with the refs, etc., has to stop. He's hurting the team when he does that, I don't know how anyone could really disagree with that assessment. The refs have his number and he isn't going to get the calls unless he wises up soon. Nobody argues with his ability, it's his attitude that needs adjusting. Talent does not necessarily equal success. As for Pippin, his value has dropped considerably and I think if Pitino were to be silly enough to sign him, we'd end up with another big paycheck sitting on the bench. And Jordan? He's looking out for numero uno, and if he comes back I hope to heaven he doesn't win another championship. He should have quit while he was a winner. I thnk he's childish to encourage everyone not to grant interviews to NBC. They didn't grant that contract as a way to hurt the players. If this season ever starts it should be interesting, to say the least. Nobody knows what's going to happen. Lots of people I've talked to don't even care, any more.
