Yeah, but the problem is that it doesn't compound. I thought so too and got
corrected on that. A relevant portion from Tony Minkoff's Salary Cap FAQ says:
15. MY TEAM HAS $X AVAILABLE UNDER THE CAP, BUT THEY JUST OFFERED A
