News out of Miami

Hank Goldberg on his Miami sports talk had Ira Winderman as his guest.
He is the Heat beat writer for the Sun Sentinel.
He said that their is virtually no interest around the league for Joe
Smith and that the Sixers aren't sure who they would rather keep Coleman
or Smith. The GM's around the league seem to think that Smith may now
be as good(mediocre is a better word) as he can be and that he has over
valued his talent (where have we heard that before)and that it appears
that Larry Brown may want to keep Coleman around instead of buying out
his contract, If in fact the Sixer do buy out Coleman's contract, the
first guy at his door will be Pat Riley.
He also said that Rod Stickland went to management of the Bullets oops
Wizards and told them that the Webber/Howard situation is just not
working out and they agreed, it now seems that Webber will be the odd
man out, only because Webber makes 3 Million less and would be easier to
trade. It really is hard to believe that Howard makes 11-12 Million a
year, the biggest reason Howard is untradeable and Webber is tradeable.
Personally I think that Webber is twice the player than Howard, but
Howard is twice the person and more coachable.
Thought you guys and gals would be interested.

Hart
