does anyone out there have the real scoop on whats going to happen with
the collective bargaining agreement (CBA) this summer? i have heard alot
of different things. from what i have heard it is pretty much a foregone
conclusion that the owners will have a lockout. i have also heard that
they are so adamant in getting a straight salary cap that some are
prepared to forfeit all of next season. that seems drastic, but something
must be done as salaries get crazier every year. i for on would like to
see a hard cap like football has and it will put most of the teams on the
same level, theoretically anyway. i also heard if there is a lockout that
the players union is going to bring an anti-trust suit against the league.
if anyone has any info on the lock out let me know.
