Re: Dr. J and arrogance

Thanks for jumping in Kevin. If Rodman is being used as a measuring stick,
that really says something doesn't it? This whole arrogance aspect is being
overplayed. Truth is talent and teamwork makes winners. Arrogant attitudes
can work to a disadvantage as much as anything. If Rodman's arrogance was
viewed as such a positive for his team why is he not with the Pistons? He
can rebound and play defence. I won't argue that, but please don't hint
that his *attitude* is perceived as a positive by anyone other than a biased
Isiah Thomas.

He would still be with the Spurs if he was such a positive guy. The Admiral
would have risen to his defence in order to keep him. Stands to reason that
Robinson was the biggest beneficiary of the Worm's presence with the
additional frontcourt help. And with the Bulls having 2 of the games best
players, Rodman has no scoring load to carry. It's a job unlike most NBA
players. ONE DIMENSIONAL!

Rodman's arrogance has also caused suspensions, technicals and countless
clashes with teammates, which I hardly view as *great*. A pattern which
Toine should want to avoid I'd think. Maybe Toine should arrange to also
marry himself :-) Who would you want to instruct your young team, Doc or
Rodman?
