You offer an interesting perspective Thomas, but Toine has not escaped the
wrath of some of the posts. It has been pointed out repeatedly that his
shot selection is very questionable. And I am really less than thrilled
with the Walker Wiggle, as I think it gives the opposition incentive to want
to kick his butt. I believe that he has not yet proven himself to be worthy
of such a swagger, but there are regular members here who find no fault with
it. I think part of the reason other teams seem to take such delight in
beating us lately is in part because of that damn wiggle. His behavior has
been reminiscent of a junior varsity hero who hasn't been geting the ball as
much as he wants. And the technical fouls lately are not a huge help to the
team and show that he is still lacking a bit of maturity, though some of the
calls we've been getting lately have stunk. But Toine can't allow himself
to blow his stack when he doesn't get the call.

I believe that he is also, without question, our biggest commodity. If we
were to let him go to free agency, other teams would be lining up to compete
for his services. He has an abundance of skills for a player of his size.
Toine's problem IMO is in his ability to make decisions, especially during
crunch time. But I think that will improve with experience. This team as a
whole needs some time together, as well as a stud rebounder (Like Jayson
Williams) before we turn the corner completely.

The injury to Anderson has me very worried at the moment. I fear that
having tendonitis in a knee at this stage of his career will certainly
damage his ability to play to his potential, especially in Pitino's frenetic
pace. I don't have a good feeling about this.
