Aquiring Pierce has already propelled the C's image, even people like Peter
Vescey are raving about the C's, how uncharacterstic is that?

shape (seven percent body fat) and soft (owning finesse and a touch aren't
negatives) are ludicrous. Day before draft, Lakers were trying to trade up
Nos. 1 or 2 to get him. Boston assistant Lester Conner has been playing with
Pierce last month or so in L.A. under Magic Johnson's direction and swears
