Re: BULPETT: NO WALKER CONTRACT UNTIL AF

Could it have some something to do with continual changes to the rules,
designed to make the game "More Exciting" ? For instance, why devise
cunning
plays to get the ball to a man under the basket when a player 4-6 feet
from
the basket can Jump through his defender (or over him) without fear of a
foul.

Throw away the shaq zone around the basket and the illegal defence rule.

Sure you will start to see some lower scoring games, but if people
started
blaming the offensive coaches and "me first" players rather than the
rules,
that wouldn't need to be the norm - Look around the world, there are
plenty
of high scoring/exciting games being played every day BECAUSE the FIBA
rules
don't try to encourage 1-on-1 play, where as the NBA seems to feel that
it is
inspite of this.

the only thing I can think of is that the speed of todays players is
such
that they can drive to the hoop at will, very hard to defend. So who do
you get to defend them? More guys just like them, incredibly fast guys
who
have always been able to go to the hole and continue to do so. It seems
the old passing game was as much out of necessity as was the style of
the
game. I could be out in left field on this but what do you guys think is
the reason?
