Travis Knight's Head

Travis ran into a DeClercq elbow during pre-game warmups and suffered a
mild concussion. Pitino talked about it after the game. Obviously it
affected his play...eg missing a wide-open dunk on a feed from Walker
(Walker could have had at least 5 assists more, but teammates blew the shot
or couldn't catch the ball).

Make no mistake, Webber, Howard and Strickland were out to prove something.

The last play of the game...reporters asked Pitino if that was the play he
diagrammed and what the other options were....he replied: "it was the play
I diagrammed, but not the shot. The other option was to have Chauncy drive
to the hoop." Pitino also mentioned the number of minutes that the top Wiz
players play....40+ for Webber, Strickland and Howard contrasted with
Antoine's high of 37 minutes. That could be the difference in the game.
Howard always looks to me like he's sucking serious wind.

Pitino also mentioned that the Celtics got lucky last night [tonight]. I
really like his straighforward way in the postgame news conference. He
never blows smoke...he is very straightforward and matter of fact. He
usually comes in says three or four sentences, drops his head to indicate
he's done speaking, and waits for the too few (IMO) questions that follow.
I guess the editors in town don't want to give up much ink to the Celtics.
