I know alot of Beantowners are still down on Billups because he has yet
to show that he'll emerge next week as a premier point guard. I'm also
aware that there's been considerable posts regarding the possibility of
trading him for Stoudamire, in a package deal. But do we realize that
Chauncey has outplayed Damon in their 3 meetings thus far? Check it out:

DS - 2/13 - 0/2 - 4/5 - 4 - 5 - 3 - 4 - 8pts Toronto 83

DS: 130min,.32fg%,.83ft%,.00 3pt%,12reb,20ast,4st,10to,46pts,15.3ppg

And look at the huge disparity in minutes played.

I'm not stating that Billups is better than Damon right now, but his
numbers against him are much better than some of us give him credit for.
I know it's a team game and all, but he should not be given up on so
quickly. I strongly feel he'll get better, and if he proves me wrong, we
dump him. In reality, he stacks up well versus many other guards in the
league. Remember the job he did defensively on Iverson and Marbury at
the Fleet?

Damon is a defensive liability regardless of his offense. Someone else
mentioned that we don't know if he could play defense at the high
energetic level we've been using this year, AND, such a pace would
certainly wear on his offense somewhat.

I would send Camby to NJ for Jayson Williams as fast as I could, if a
deal could be structured since Calipari wants him so bad.

Just my opinion.
