obsevations on the game

Just a few observations on the game yesterday.

I think Dee got some minutes (and he was productive too) for two reasons.
1) Pitino wanted to see if Bird's comments about Dee might psych Dee up for
one of his very rare phenomenal games. 2) To showcase him.

The second reason is also probably why Tyus Edney (the human rocket
launcher, have you *ever* seen an NBA shot that awful!) played as well. I
hope both get traded, and I hope both do well wherever they go.

The reason Parrish got his number retired is simple. He deserved it as much
as Bird or McHale. I mean by that (so I don't get flamed) he filled his role
on the championship teams as well as they filled their roles.

Where was Dennis Johnson? I didn't see him, and someone said he was there.

M.L. Carr was shown one time by the cameras, but was not brought out on the
floor. No doubt they feared that the chants of "Chief! Chief!" would
become "Boo! Boo!"

Chiefs comments were funny and poignant.

And finally, I remember why I have always hated Reggie Miller's game. He
drives into people, flails him arms and legs like a frog on a hot frying
pan, and whines for a call. Great shooter? Yes. Great ballplayer and
leader? No.

HEY DOES ANYONE KNOW WHEN SPORTSCHANNEL WILL REBROADCAST TODAYS GAME?
FORGET TO SET MY VCR!!
