Celts had another option

I read this in an Australian basketball publication that just came out.

The Celtics had another option and chose to go with the Anderson one.

Celtics would have gotten - LaPhonso Ellis, Bobby Jackson, Dean Garrett
and Johnny newman

Celtics would have given up - Chauncey Billups, Dee Brown, Roy Rogers,
John Thomas and 2 first rounders.

The thing that the Celtics didn't want to do was the draft picks.
Reportedly the C's see them as being very valuable around draft time
especially if the ping pong balls fall their way they could end up
trading another cap person (Minor, Barros, Pervis, etc, etc.) with the
pick for a lower pick and someone with less of a cap problem who will
also help out the Celtics in a positive way filling a need.

Whats your opinion on this... 

Which trade is better

The one that happend or the one that never happend because of the draft
picks??
