Heres how my day of thinking of the trade...

1- Logged into ESPN.com and saw it..

I yelled out loud and raced downstairs and said "I HATE PITINO U S.O.B
TRADING MY CHAUNCEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FOR a DUD OF A ANDERSON!!!" and
then I cooled down..

I thought about it some more... Popeye Jones??

That cannot be possible. NBA rules states an injury list player CANNOT
be dealt and Popeye broke his knee. Unless they took him off the IL the
trade breaks league rules.

I then had a 2nd opinion after I saw the ESPN international report that
said that the Celtics both the cap and the salary goes against Portland
in the trade.

I thought that was wrong and then they said it again, then they had an
analysis of the deal saying that the Celtics will have approximately 10
to 12 million to buy free agents.

WHAT A STEAL is my current opinion!!

BUT, thinking again, the ONLY reason RP would trade Billups is that
Gaston cannot afford 3 $100 mil contracts. With the money that we have
now to spend on free agents, thats going to happen now anyways!!
