Re: Trade for Anderson -Reply

Just because Paul Allen pays the bill, does not mean that he relieves which
ever team is STUCK with Kenny from their cap responsibilities. The only
good from this is that the team might be more apt to pay the big contracts
of it's own FA's. In the case of the C's these would be AW and RM.

Still, we do not want Anderson, no way no how, unless he can unload the
contracts of Minor or Brown, and this is the biggest IF I have purported in
a long time.

Anderson is in the 2rd year of a 7 deal ending in 2003, with about 38MM
left.

I have to also say it was fun to see Damon's debut in Portland last night.
He has energized this city and team. Walt Williams wasn't too bad either.

Yeah, but Portland is paying a huge chunk of Anderson's salary. That
will create a lot of space under the cap.

I don't understand why this is a good trade.
Kenny Anderson seems worse than having Dee Brown.

Anderson has a contract that ends after the 2003 season.
He gets 5 million a year

Dee has a contract that ends after the 2001 season.
Dee get's 3.5 million a year.

I know Anderson is a much better Point Guard, but I think we shouldn't
get him.
