Hey! this is the pro's, age, experience etc. don't count. The media is over
hyping Kobe Bryant because a) he is a Los Angeles Laker b) For some innate
reason not obvious to me he is the chosen one, when there are a number of
players in the NBA who are better than him. In fact the media is validating
the stance that he took during draft i.e. "Small market teams and teams in
bad situation don't pick me up otherwise I won't sign".  Do you think that
the media would have looked at him as favourably had he joined the
struggling 76ers or the Nets? I think not. - Mishra
