NO HURT FEELINGS

I have to answer this. Jeremy, you didn't hurt my feelings. I'm alot
stronger than that. However, perhaps you should understand that those
of us who are a little older have had to do alot of waiting in our
lives. Your generation, the greater share of you, have always asked and
received. It was not that way with us, we had to wait. When and if we
got something we really wanted, we were more appreciative, I believe.
That's not your fault, either, just the way it is.

I was upset about Wesley and Fox, who are both playing very well for
their new teams. What you said was correct. I think what you need to
understand is that we do have a very young team, who all have alot to
learn, but we believe they will learn and for the most part, they have
the potential to develop into the quality players some of you want to
trade for now. Before the season started I was being told by everyone I
would love this team in time, and they were right, because I see them
busting their tails, cheering each other on, and most of all, maybe,
enjoying playing basketball and making it fun for the rest of us to
watch. I've said why not wait and see? We never expected them to do
this well this year, or even next, so what's the hurry all of a sudden?
I certainly don't object to reporting trade rumors any of us may have
heard or read, but really, some of these trades are so preposterous as
to be laughable. If Rick Pitino is half the coach he's supposed to be,
would he really trade away both Knight and DeClerq and leave us without
a backup? Ellison cannot be depended on because he's too frail. I feel
sorry for him, a man who should have been a big star in this league, but
who has always been plagued by injury.

I don't believe any of us think this team will stay the way it now is
constructed, there will be trades, we all know that. Just having a
little patience, though, might prove fruitful.
