Re: slightly different three way deal
I wouldn't be surprised to see Billups go. Dana is playing good
enough at the 1 spot to be an excellent backup or temporary starter.
Chauncey's shot selection and accuracy has been sporadic all season.
I highly doubt the C's have enough money or players to trade for
Penny. It would be a very welcome addition to the Celtics but I don't
think it will happen. If Penny came to Boston it will be a HUGE steal
and the dummest move by Orlando ever. As for Camby, the Celtics do
not need him. Camby is still underweight and he hasn't dominated
anyone since coming into the league. Stoudamire would be nice for the
Celts but defensively he is a liability. I think Pitino is looking to
solidify his defense for the future and Damon is not the way to go. I
would not be surprised to see John Wallace's name thrown into the mix.
He has loads of potential. Well that's my 2 bits. Hey Jeremy, are
you playing ball anytime soon? I was at Tufts on Saturday and there
were 40 people on the varsity court so I left. OK must go,
later.

Last night on the Fox 10PM news they reported that the three way deal with
us, Toronto, and Orlando involves us giving up Chauncey and draft picks,
Toronto giving up Stoudamire and Camby, and Orlando trading Penny
Hardaway!!! But they didn't say who went where. It doesn't work out cap
wise, so there would probably be other players involved. If there is any
truth to this, Orlando must feel that they won't be able to resign Penny
this summer. If we can get Penny Hardaway, I will eat my words about
Pitino being a questionable general manager.
