Theresa I too saw this piece and thought is was pretty funny (unlike most
garbage on SNL these days).  The part noting the star players (Hill,
Stockton) who would not be accepting a bid to a charity all-star game was
funny too.  The loss of the real all-star game is causing quite a stir in
Portland, bumping them off the schedule at least another year.

Also what about the clever Sprite add with Grant Hill and Tim Duncan doing
odd jobs around the neighborhood to make some money.  Hill states "There has
got to be a better way"  Yah how about canning Hunter to start with.

Did anyone see Saturday Night Live this week?  They had a great spoof on
the NBA on NBC.

Basically, they showed the intro to NBA on NBC and followed it with...

shots of players in suits (the voiceover said..."you'll see players in
suits!")

THE NBA ON NBC!

shots of David Stern  (voiceover...."you'll see David Stern's beard grow!")

etc. etc. etc.

It was pretty good and hit home. All hype, but nothing to show for
it....that's the NBA today.
