     Perhaps I'm in a minority, but I have no fears at all about this list and
where it is going.  It is presently off-season, a normally quiet time on such
lists.  We don't have games to talk about, or even real personnel moves.  Thus
the list has gone into things like drug policies, lockouts, labor relations,
satellite technology, Noam Chomsky, wiggles, economic and political theory,
basketball, announcers, etc.  Now, I'll grant you that on all of these threads
there have been great posts, mediocre posts, and just plain silly or stupid
(and even offensive) posts, but, all in all, I think it has been a very
entertaining summer.   We have had flame wars, but they're a year-round sport.
While I sure hope we get a full season to talk about how the Celtics are
doing, I sure can't complain about what has been here for the last few months.
    Thus, I post again my periodic thanks to all of you for the entertainment.
