   Can a capologist (yeah, I know it's obsolete, but...) tell us about how a
Malone contract would work under the cap?  If I'm right, there's something
about age 36 or 37 that the salary doesn't count, or is that only if the
player has retired?
   One possibility is that Malone could get the big deal for one year, I
guess.  But Utah has him next season, if I recall, so let's see if Jordan
retires (my bet?  He plays.) and see what happens then.
