	A tidbit as small as this is still a welcome relief in the dog days
of this most miserable offseason.  Our sports page noted that Seattle has
joined the Pistons and Celtics in trying to acquire the services of Theo
Radliffe as a free agent acquisition.  Not much but at least it mentioned
something other than the lockout.  I never thought I'd dread seeing the
words 'Larry Bird.'  (as in excemption)
	One other interesting thing to note.  I work in the ER here in
Cincinnati and spent an hour talking to an patient who is originally from
French Lick.  She spent years working with Georgia Bird cooking in a
nursing home.  They were friends.  We talked about Georgia's recent death
and Larry's high school exploits.  She was a regular at his high school
games.  She understated, "he's a pretty damn good ball player."  She also
noted that it sometimes disappoints her that people only want to know about
Larry and nothing else regarding her hometown.  I guess I didn't do
anything to dispel that notion.  This all made my night.  I thought you
might be interested.
