John Y. Brown

I only know a very little about the John Y. Brown years. . .Red did come
very close to leaving the team over disputes with Brown, who knew very
little about the game yet liked to make major personnel decisions.  Red
almost took a position with the Washington Bullets.  One other tidbit. .
.did you know that other than his infamous reign with the Celtics, his
other titles included Govenor of the State of Kentucky?!
