With the first year of the Rick Pitino Era winding to a close, it's time to
assess the state of the Boston Celtics. The coach: Pitino isn't going to
beat out Larry Bird as the league's besthead man, but his accomplishments
with this team are just as impressive. 
    The Celtics are on pace to finish the season with 35 wins, a
  20-game jump from a year ago. Is the talent on this team really 20
  games better than last year? Hardly. But Pitino had this team in just
  about every game this season. They harass you, they play tough,
  and they win games they shouldn't.
