Here is a flavour of Peter Vescey's celtics related ramblings for the week: 
 
Despite continuing dialogue between the Warriors and Joe Smith's agent, Eric 
Fleisher, there's no chance the 6-10 forward will re-sign before the Oct. 1 
deadline. Which is why Smith already has given the Warriors a list of six 
teams (majority in the East ... 76ers, Bullets, Nets, Celtics, Magic and,of 
course, the Bulls) he prefers to be traded. The Cavaliers expressed interest, 
but Smith has let it be known he won't re-sign with them, either. Golden 
State's hope is to package Smith along with Felton Spencer and Mark Price or 
B.J. Armstrong. The Bucks are offering Armon Gilliam for Armstrong even-up.  
 
Two of five Boston leftovers - Antonine Walker, DeeBrown, Pervis Ellison, Greg 
Minor and Dana Barros figure to be ex-Celtics by time camp opens. And you know 
Walker isn't going anywhere.
