Celts sign rookies

Some news: 

Celtics signed Billups and Mercer today. The maximums allowable are 
$8.3M over three years for Billups and $6.1M over three years for
Mercer.

Looking at Kentucky's stats for last year, only one player averaged
over 30 mins per game (Mercer, 32.5) and six others played 20 mins
or more, with two more playing 15+ mins. The year previous, Walker
led in minutes with 27. Pitino needs to have good depth to play his
style and I believe that is why he doesn't try to spend all his money
on a single free agent signing.
