Resigning Wesley

All this talk of losing Wesley has got me nervous, and also thinking about
M.L. Carr as a coach.

Maybe the most important aspect of a coach in today's NBA is to be able to
keep the troops together while new players are added. Jumping ship for more
money seems to be the primary player motivation today. If Carr can convince
key players to stay around to see if the ship rights itself, he has done the
C's a great service.

I have heard many commentators say that high draft picks are no guarantee of
success in the NBA, and to some extent they are correct. What they don't
mention however, is that the teams that have all of these high picks just
can't keep the players around AND motivated. Case in point: Dallas.

Maybe Carr can.
