There is an easy solution to the problem of spiraling costs: Don't 
pay them. You already don't have cable, so you are helping (but that 
is a lost cause.) If you don't want to see ticket prices sky rocket 
don't buy them. If you can afford to pay $100 for a regular season 
game and are willing to, more power to you. This is simple economics. 
You have no right to see NBA games. If you want cheaper basketball, 
consider the CBA or NCAA. 
I don't like ticket prices either. But it is not a personal thing. 
The C's are maximizing profit just like any other firm would. If 
Proctor and Gamble decided to raise the prices of soap you wouldn't 
buy there brand. Ditto for the professional sports. Prices are only 
high because fans will pay that much, because they want (in an 
economic sense) to pay that much.
