Its a who -- "Jungle Jim" Loscutoff, an enforcer for the Celts 1955 -
1964, strong rebounder, tough inside player, known for doing the dirty
work, not a big scorer. Kind of unusual for a player like this to get such
recognition (although the Celts are big on retiring jerseys). Cousy says
that the addition of Heinsohn and Loscutoff in '56 brought a toughness to
the Celts that they had lacked and helped change the Celts from also-rans
into champions. Loscutoff wore #18, which was later worn by Dave Cowens.
Cowens had his number retired first, so Loscutoff's jersey shows his
nickname.
