Loscy was the nickname of Jim Loscutof. He wore the number (#18) that was
later worn by Cowens. The Celts decided to retire it for Loscy, since it was
too late, they decided to retire his nickname. Loscy played in the 50's &
60's. He was a big body (although short) and a banger. He rarely scored
more than 8 or 9 points a game, but Red considered him very valuable.
As for good Celtic books, one of my favorites is the 50th anniversary
book. It has a lot of great old pictures.
