Re: Travis Knight

I feel the same way about Celtics management. They are so keen on
short-term, short-term they are sacraficing something in the long-run.
Pippen and Knight would be perfect in the short-term, but would be cancers
in the long-term. I keep hearing Rick say (not exact quotes), "The Boston
Celtics are not looking for a player who can help down the road...". I
heard that before the draft and I thought, "Rick, we've been in the
basement for 4 years, 2 more ain't gonna kill us." I want to see players
develop in front of me.

The deal with Knight virtually kills our chances of getting a true money
player next year, or the next 6 years after that. We also have to take in
that in a few years, Mercer, Walker, Billups, and Williams (maybe?) won't
be making the money that they are making now, We could possibly have 4 $10
million dollar men on our team to go along with Knight. This deal screws
the Celtics longterm.
