Pitino

It's exciting to look forward to the upcoming season with the addition of
Billups and Mercer but I got to say that the trade that never was for
Pippen, shoots big holes in my faith in Pitino. All the articles in the
Globe talk about how we got such great players in the draft but noone
questioned what the heck planet was Pitino on regarding the trade? It was a
typical ML move to sell the future for what appears to be a short term gain,
welcome back Dominique. I sure would feel better if Pitino at least gave a
rational explanation. 3 #1s, really ! I know he's a great coach but he sure
has some ground to prove when it comes to negotiating. In the college ranks,
you can convince a kid to give up some their personal goals for the good of
the team but in the pro ranks, these guys are playing for their contract.
How happy are Minor, Brown, Barros going to be playing back up minutes to
Billups and Mercer. At least two of these guys have to go if the teams to
have any chemistry. Come on Rick, the draft was a no brainer, show us what
you got.
