Trade Deadline and movement

Trade action to beat the deadline:

1.	George Zidek and Anthony Goldwire from Charlotte to Denver for Ricky
Pierce.

2.	Mark Jackson, Darvin Ham and LaSalle Thompson from Denver to Indiana
for Vincent Askew, Eddie Johnson and Jerome Allen, plus second round
draft picks in 1997 and 1998.

3.	Golden State sent Donald Royal to Charlotte for Scott Burwell.

4.	New Jersey sent George McCloud to LA Lakers for Joe Kleine (Celtic
content), a 1997 first round draft pick and a conditional second-round
pick in 1998.

5.	Toronto sent Acie Earl (Celtic content) to Milwaukee for Shawn
Respert.

I guess ML feels he can make the playoffs with the current lineup and
saw no need to make a trade here.  :-)  Well, actually, I think he did
just fine standing pat.
