Re: TRADE NEARBY???

The bottom line is that we get spanked by teams with dominant centers(Miami,NY
and Spurs), the rest we can compete with or beat. This is because we have a
weak front line. Walker is playing PF and he would be awesome at SF. DeClerke
would be adequate at PF is we could get someone like Austin to play center. I
think we looked so bad against the Spurs because part of our offense comes
from our defense. We generated nothing from the press. Why? A small part of it
is because Avery Johnson is a experienced point guard. I think the biggest
reason is that the press takes alot mentally and if you don't think you're
overmatched and you're going to lose, you won't give that extra effort which
is required in the press. I think the Celts know they are overmatched in the
front line area against the dominant teams, know they are going to get beat
anyway in the half-court, and then don't put forth the effort in the press.
This is the only reason I can think of as to why the press was so ineffective
against the Spurs. Think about it. Avery Johnson, Jaren Jackson and Sean
Elliot are nothing! Robinson and Duncan aren't press breakers.

Other notes.: Walker still continues to refuse to pass in the break....Cousy
hasn't liked a Celtic point guard as long as I seen his broadcasts which is at
least 10 years. I'm not counting Bagley because he used to hate him and only
liked him the last year he was here. He always loves the opposing teams point
guards, however....DeClerke is improving, game by game....Knight looked like a
sissy out there.....Billups may make mistakes, but there is no doubt that he
has big time offensive stuff. He defense ain't bad, neither....
