Why anyone would consider Westphal as someone who could lead the
Celtics to glory again is beyond me. Defense wins championships, and
his teams were notoriously bad defensively. Let's leave him on the
golf course.
Which brings me to this point--with two of the greatest defensive
players in the history of the NBA on the Celt bench this year (DJ and
KC), how in the world could they have been that bad defensively? I saw
only two games this year (hey, things are tough for Celt fans in
Texas) and understand that there was a hole in the middle, but give
me a break. If Cleveland can put the clamps on with Ferry in the
lineup...
