I recently asked all of you to list your top 5 choices on who the Celtics
should take in the draft. I received 17 respones and here are the results.

        1. Tim Duncan -received all 17 first place votes
        2. Ron Mercer -received 16 2nd place votes and 1 3rd place
        3. Tony Battie -received 10 3rd place votes and two 4th place
        4. Keith Van Horn -received 1 second place, 5 3rd place, 7 4th
place, and 2 5th place votes
        5. Chauncy Billups -received 4 4th place, and 3 5th place votes

Others that were listed were Foyle with 6 5th place and 1 4th place
vote, Tim Thomas with 3 4th place and 2 5th place votes, Derek Anderson with
one 3rd and one 5th place vote, and Willoubhy, Jamison, McGrady, and Daniles
all with one 5th place vote.

My opinion on the draft is that we of course want Duncan with our
pick and with the Dallas pick which should be around #5 get either Thomas or
McGrady.
We would like to get Battie or Mercer, but they will almost for sure not be
available.

On May 11, the lottery is held to see what picks we will get. After
that we will have a much better idea who we will and everyone else will get.
Also, the word is that Tim Thomas is going to enter the draft so that is
good news for Celtic fans.

I would also like to tell everyone what I know on Nate Driggers(the on and
off Celtic who occasionally signs a 10 day contract). I found it
interesting that some of you said that you would keep him on the team for
next year.
I live in North Dakota and Driggers played for our IBA(International
Basketball Association) team last year. I was the ballboy for some of the
games and I got to see him play a lot and I can tell you that he is not very
good. He could not shoot well at all and had very few moves in the post.
In my opinion. he was not even the best player on the team, and we took
second to last place. We were mad at him after he left because he told lies
about how our team was run. I was shocked when I found at he was playing
for my beloved Celtics and I was even a little embarrased. How could a
player with his skills jump form the IBA to the NBA in less than a year? So
I think we should get rid of him even if he does play for the league
minimum.
