Not exactly.  He said he got numbers from friends of performers whom he
didn't know and some of them don't return his calls.  He said he wished they
didn't find it so hard to say no when they're busy because it would allow
him to find others.  It wasn't said in a nasty way, and he even stopped the
hosts to point out that people that turned him down were often busy with
other things.
