Steve, the OK but Hurting Unit, The ??? Who Heard Music

Hello,

I've been on a business trip and was able to read several archives,
but was not able to reply.

First things first:

>I am a hurting unit, but I am ok.

>Steve, sharing with this online community.

Steve in Canada:

Thanks for sharing your story. I wish you a speedy recovery. I bicycle a
bunch and have had many near misses simply because many drivers
don't notice me. It's the same with motorcycles. My only solution is
for the driving test to include instruction on dealing with other vehicles
of all shapes and sizes.... before you're allowed to Go Mobile.

The ??? Who Heard Music:

I have no problem with "boy". Here's my take on the characters.

Garbiel represents Pete, the boy who heard music. Josh represents John,
the boy who hears voices (I wonder what they are telling him?), and Leyla
represents Roger ("...A woman in my hair..."), the girl who can fly. Of all
the members of The Who, Roger took flight in a figurative way to superstardom
like no other member of the band because of his appearance and vocals,
at first, then because of the exposure of Tommy (the movie).

The different religions represents the different value systems that TED have/had,
and despite this, the music united them and created their power.

The first three members of The Who that were in The Detours is the basis
for the story IMHO. They formed a band (it could have other members too),
and became powerful, and took over the world.

I dig this whole idea. The only pity of it is that Pete feels he has to pitch
it to us before an end-product is attempted. I knew nothing of Tommy until
I saw/heard the finished product, and have been catching up on the detail
and background ever since. This is a unique perspective that we have as
Who freaks.
