You obviously weren't smoking enough dope in High School. ;-)

Cher.....Sting. Appropriate analogy.

Oh, I'm totally convinced that had Pete reached success with his solo
material, he would have said farewell to The Who for ever.

He was driven to compete with some of his contemporaries.
Going solo was the in thing to do. Still is, I guess.

He almost admitted as much at the Day in The Garden concert in '98.

XXX. Wrong choice.
Choose to agree!
There was no other decent band at the time. Had The Police continued, they
would have taken control of the whole music industry.
Instead, we were left to listen to Madonna.

Negative fan reaction to ripping up that picture of The Pope, really fucked
with her.
Jon even sent her hate-mail. ;-)

>That music leaves me cold. It's so....stupid.

It may have been simple, but it was honest in it's expression of real rage.
Dude, punk is stupid. It's not the most brilliantly conceived music in the
world, but it's honest and fucking balls-out.

>It's all such testosterone-fueled bull-

Early Rap had it's place in that it reflected that society, but after that,
let it be.
Talk about simple.

Not even close.
You really should give them a listen.
I found them very Townsheneque in the way they arranged their musical
compositions.
It was complex, and flowed.
The two songs I can think of that played on the radio were a far cry from
the rest of their stuff.
Really.

Yeah, that's me. Ha!

Calluses on fingers, not palm.

>But aren't you at least psyched-up for the TKAA DVD?

Eh. Yeah, I guess. But, it's not that big of a deal to me.
I'm psyched to see that footage of John, and for the interviews. But it's
only mild excitement.
The Who is dead.

I don't either.
