If you MUST continue the Pete destruction...

> "Greetings from a newbie in North Carolina."

Suzanne:

Salutations from a somewhat experienced fan in South
Carolina. Myrtle Beach, to be exact. If you're down my
way, let me know. My store is the heart of Whodom in
MB (for instance, it's called Generations). Hurry,
though, before too much longer I'll be moving to NC
myself, somewhere in the Smokies.

> Man, you are extremely testy these days.

Mc:

Test this!

> Time for a mild sedative.

Didn't anyone ever teach you not to do drugs? Tut tut
tut...

> infuriated at myself for not remembering, so I went
> on kazaa and looked it up.

Well, you might try actually BUYING some music so the
artists will have a reason to make more.

> Hi, Suzanne! My name is Scott. I'm in my mid-30s &
> have been a Who fan
> since around 1981.

Scott:

Sure is easy to spot the single guys on the list these
days...

> I like science, long walks in the park, gloves in
> the winter, cars that
> run, & reading a newspaper at lunch.

WAY too easy...

> Hey, take it up with Pete!

Kevin:

I think he's done with it!

> Damn! Coffee all *over* my desk.

Couldn't restrain myself. It was there, I had to use
it. Resistance was futile.

> No. Pete's no longer the drug/booze abusing person
> he once was, and thus isn't as "impaired" (for lack
> of better words) as he used to be.

OK...so your contention is that he WAS inconsistant,
but now he's perfectly consistant. And that would (I
presume) from the time he stopped using Heroin? That
would be early 80's, I think? So you haven't found
Pete to be inconsistant in his statements since the
early 80's, is what you're saying? I just want to be
clear on this.

> I don't believe that he is making mistakes here.

So you think he's intentionally letting the truth slip
out? Because it helps him...how? Or can't he help
himself? Or the legal department told him it's good
for his career? I hate to quote HBO commercials, but
"I don't get it."

> Don't let Mr. "IGTC was Pete Bashing" House
> influence you good people of IGTC!

Awwww...that was sweet...

> We are greater fans than most, because we care
> enough to want to fully understand.

And that was spin. We're LIBERATING Pete, yeah, that's
it...

> Be bold, because we could
> always use a few more female voices up-in-here.

Jon:

Uh...no, it's too easy. I'll let this one pass.

> or I just may get sappy on you. ;-)

Too late. Two orders of twinkies to go, extra sugar!

> humor. I think Mc has one,

He's testing one, I think. But hasn't perfected it
yet.

> I can hear him coming toward the room.

Damn, you have good ears! I'm, what, 1000 miles away
from you?

> He also said he was mystified why he had never been
> honoured by the Queen.

Maybe because she doesn't think he's sexy. What IS
this guy thinking? That his contribution to the mullet
hairstyle gets him a knighthood??? Wait, maybe he's
talking about Freddie Mercury...changes the entire
thing, it does...

> He also has two albums in the UK top 20.

OH, now I SEE. I was wrong. He should be a Baron or
something. Baron Von Mullet. The Duke of Analberry.
The Earl of Olay. Something like that...

> ya know who else was never knighted and never
> recieved a special grammy who
> probably deserves it more than rod?

Yeah. Everybody.

> I'm very shy.

Kevin:

("choke!")

> Mark is "all fucked up on politics".

That's right, kill the messenger...today Bush said his
people didn't put Mission Accomplished banner on the
carrier, it was the troops' fault, and he never meant
to imply such a thing. Oooooh-KAY!

>Young Man Blues is the HTTB version at the right
speed.

Bruce:

It's ABOUT DAMNED TIME! Mine was shipped out today,
due here Friday at the latest, so I'll give a SACD
sound review no later than Saturday.

=====
Just say Yes to Wes!

        Cheers Mark Leaman
