Careful there SicilianMother, you're stirring that intense loyalty that I have for my friends, not to mention that one of them is my wife.

You mean like "don't say anything that might send her over the edge?"
;-)
Oh, and gee, I'm so surprised they're scared to say anything against him.
;-)

Yes, it sounds like you have access to very honest feedback.
;-)

Just a "hint"?
Jo, you really need to take the blinders off.

This doesn't make sense to me.
Are you saying that they think we're (I - speaking just for me) anti-who, and thus they are playing on that?

Not even close.
My friends *know* how much The Who means to me.
Hell, it's hard not to know when you're sitting in town-breakfast with both you and your son wearing matching Who-target T-shirts.
No, they know how much The Who means to me, and try their best not to say anything critical.
Why would they? They all like, love, deeply appreciate The Who too.
And, they are all very involved in the music scene.

But, with this "hint" of controversy, it's impossible.

Mc's right.
<GASP!!!!!!!>
It's a risky, if not wrong business decision to proceed with a song with that title....now.

Again, "business decision."

That said, I admire Pete's balls for not giving a fuck.
I admire him for sticking to his artistic rights and beliefs.
I wish him and Roger the best.

But, I also know that there will be consequences.
And, if you don't think Pete has mulled this all over, think again.

> just a thought....

Here's another one...
I'm still wondering why Roger gave Brian Cady the "I'm about done with that man." response if they were (or were about to go) in the studio to record.
Hmmmm, maybe Roger's not so keen on the title of the song?

Starting rumors where ever he goes....
