For the record, I stated on this list that I enjoyed their version
of "Success Story" (Mc sent me the demo).  I refused to listen to
"Dirty Deeds," though!  ;-)

Exactly.  I've stated this, as well.

Right.  I get the feeling that Mc is the only band member really
heavily into The Who.  And since *he* started the band, the other 
dudes have to go along with his decisions (Correct me, Mc, if I'm
wrong).

So, to keep the other dudes happy, they play some other non-Who tunes.
And when you think about it, with the mixture of bands & genres that
they tackle, Who Are They isn't such a bad name!  ;-)
