Pete is now focused on what he is an expert at.  He is looking beyond
the hubris of the day-to-day.    I view this as a positive thing.  It shows
his resolve about now getting too buried in the here and now, and
focus on future thinking.   I'm sure he had fits of frustration during his
self-imposed "quarantine" time, but for the most part he kept busy with
what he had planned or found interesting stuff to do.

This is a sign that he has survived this mess personally.   The crisis is
over, and he his emotional systems have stabilized and are dealing
with moving on.

This is all my humble opinion based on my observations mixed with the
baggage of my own life.
