ASTORIC VICTORY
London Astoria is saved! Let's get mashed!

The London Astoria was saved from closure by
Westminster Council yesterday, after they'd threatened
to shut the place down, following two men getting shot
outside the venue last November. Nobody was killed,
but the incident, at Romeo's (So Solid Crew) Birthday
Party, sparked fears for the public's safety. Mean
Fiddler have been guaranteed a licence, which runs
until 6am, and 1000 drunken journalists think of the
Keith Moon bar and praise God Almighty. 

Vince Power said "This is obviously very good news.
I'm delighted that the Magistrate Court has confirmed
the faith in the management structure that I have
always had at the Astoria, and that they have found
the venue to be well managed. The Astoria can now
continue to run successfully providing entertainment
of the highest quality in the centre of London."

The London Astoria has a capacity of 2000 and attracts
up to 400,000 customers each year. Which is more than
Metro.
