As is my custom on important Jahrzeits, I'm wearing
all black today.  It doesn't matter that it's very hot
today; black appropriately expresses my feelings of
mourning, and it's my second-favourite colour after
purple, in addition to how John often dressed in black
too.  And of course tonight and tomorrow at services I
will be saying Kaddish for John.
