Ok, just got home from a really bad day at work..and I find this ridiculous question?  I can't help but ask myself..."What the fuck?" I am and always will be proud of Pete's MUSIC, both his solo work and his work with The Who.  I am a fan of the MUSIC, not the man.  Apparently unlike some people, I can easily separate the two.  I don't know Pete Townshend and certainly don't consider him a friend of mine.  He hasn't betrayed me, and he owes me no apologies.
