YES, but, no who

I was remember this, um, event, the other night.

In the 70's I was into the group Yes. They were like in the top 3 or 4 of my
favorite bands.

In the very early 90's, I started going to this big church in Santa Ana, CA
called Calvary Chapel. I went to the Sunday night service, because it was the
most contemporary service. So, there I am, sitting alone, near the back, and
they introduce Rick Wakeman from Yes and he does like a 3-4 song set, it was
so incredible!!! He played the piano and was sooooo good. I couldn't believe
my luck!!

The twilight zone part was, here I am, sitting in church, a recovering
Catholic, and one of my fav Rockers is jammin on stage and all I can so is sit
still. I wanted to jump up and get a spot near the front. I wanted to whistle and
clap and jump. But, no one even seemed to shift in their seat and so there I
sat, motionless. I guess that would explain the tears that came out of my
eyes. That was all I could do!!!
But, it was incredible and I'll never forget it.

Afterward he was selling his cd's and signing them. I just kind of stood
there, star struck (I get very star struck, very easily). Sadly, I can't
remember the message of the service, but I'll never forget seeing Rick Wakeman at
church!!!
