Some time after1999, when talk of a new album first began, I believe it
was Roger who said something to the effect of  "they like to play live
shows before going in the studio becuase it gives them a chance to find
their chops gets their creative juices flowing." With a year off between
live shows, I wouldn't be at all surprised if they played eight or nine
shows in a three week period and then went into the studio.  David in New

Understatement.  If it don't fit....

Considering album efforts can at times take *many* months, the prospect
of
fitting a tour in and or around studio time seem to me implausible.

Last thing The Who needs is a rushed album.
