Re: IOW

It is.....BUT.....it's always irked me that that version doesn't include
the last verse. But still....when it quiets down, & Pete is cleanly
strumming those chords, with that "lost in rapture" look on his face.
That's moving. And then the band kicks in & he launches into that pierc-
ing solo. "Everybody say! Everybody say! Everybody say goodbye."

Yeah, I think he remarks that the band would've kept playing but Pete's
guitar couldn't take anymore! It had been played to death!

And while we're on the subject of IOW, I feel that particular show, for all
its strengths, is still kind of a sloppy Who show. And the main reason is
Pete.

His guitar sounds crappy at times. Like he's having equipment trouble
throughout the whole show. Sometimes he turns down so low, songs lose
energy. Listen to the end of "Heaven & Hell." It sort of quietly me-
anders to its ending.

Pete hits a lot of bum chords & bum notes, too. And his singing is quest-
ionable at times, as well. His voice cracks a lot.

I've always considered IOW to be a ragged Who show. Still good. But rag-
ged.
