Ken, (and all)

I understand this. I also understand what you are saying and, like Scott, I
see your reasoning in calling for some caution as this is not in itself
conclusive proof that Pete could have done no wrong. I agree that we should
not go off and get rude-cubed because of this good news.

But as Scott said, this does show that Pete is going to fight this. If he
really was a pedophile, why draw all of this attention? Why lie? If there
is proof, it will surely be found now. If he wants to clear his name, and
there is proof that he is lying, he will not only be a pedophile, but a
devious manipulator of the trust of everyone that cares about him. There is
not much repair for that.

When Pete said those two statements to us, the fans: "I am not a pedophile"
and "I want to clear my name" my gut told me he was telling the truth. The
recent post on his site reaffirms this stand instead of backing off from
it-in order to save face.

Pete is a very complicated person and he is highly unusual. I don't pretend
to know him, especially since he don't even know himself (sorry), but the
constant vibe I have always received from him was that he is a person who is
in search of what is true; what is real; and what is worthwhile, no matter
what the cost may be. In his difficult and internationally public life he
has been a true pioneer for his generation and has been a lightning rod for
attack because he will not leave things be.

When I hear the majority of Pete's music, I sense there is a longing for
understanding. He admits when he does not know things. He also knows that
there *must* be something better. Is he right all the time? Of course not.
I do not blindly follow anyone. But I do revere his attitude, and I
understand some of his frustrations. I am speaking for many of us I am sure.

He has taught me that there is such a thing as using intelligence to do more
than prove that you are more intelligent than the others. He uses his
intelligence to find out why things are the way they are. He is restless. He
admits his mistakes and there are many. A person who is not willing to make
mistakes is a fruitless person. Pete has taught me with his life to never
stop searching and to never stop seeking. To be honest. He is just a man,
but I have no reason to doubt him now.
