guilt is in the intent or self gratification

Most people just don't seem to get it. A person's guilt, if there is any, is 
all in the intent and reaction to the viewing of the pornographic sites. If 
two people both view child pornography and one is revolted by it, like 
Townshend is, and one is aroused by it, like a true peophile, are you 
telling me they have both committed the same "said crime." or are they both 
guilty of being a pedophile or a menace to society? It's perhaps comparing a 
murderer like Charles Manson to somebody who kills in defense of their 
family. Manson had intent to kill whereas the other person was killing in 
self defense. They have both committed the crime of murder but surely there 
are differences. If anybody reading this has personally ever viewed anything 
to deal with child pornography you too are a pedophile? No. It depends on 
your reaction to it. There are many sites on the net that show photos of 
some pretty disturbing and graphic images, such as car accidents, autopsies, 
human suffering etc. but most people view them out of curiosity and are 
usually repelled by what they see. Are people who view photos of fires all a 
danger to society because they may be arsonists? No, of course not. You only 
have to worry about those who are aroused or get excited by it, not by those 
people who abhor it. People who actively seek these sites out to get self 
satisfaction from them may have a problem, maybe nothing that will ever be 
seen by anybody else, but still a problem perhaps, within their own mind. 
But anybody who does get off on these types of things and keeps their 
thoughts and reactions to themselves, surely aren't dangerous. Since when 
did simply viewing something distasteful make you a criminal. Any crime, if 
there is one, or any sickness, lies in the individuals intent and reaction 
to the images not simply by looking by at them. It's a shame that anybody 
who links Townshend to pedophilia are walking around this planet devoid of 
any common sense whatsoever. There is only one person who truly knows his 
reaction to these images and that is Pete himself. And I see no reason not 
to believe him.
